CHAPTER 99 PROGRAMS (2017-2018)
Professional Development Hours are given for all programs except the banquet. 
All programs are held at Hamilton’s Banquet Hall in Jacksonville.



Thursday, September 13th, 2018, 4:30-8:00 p.m."Success for Individuals with Autism" presented by Barbara T. Doyle

(Barbara is a nationally known, dynamic speaker who builds awareness of the needs of individuals with autism.) 

Tuesday, October 18th, 2018, 4:30-8:00 p.m
"Vision, Reading, Learning and Digital Eye Strain" presented by Dr. Timothy Cundiff
(Cundiff works with students with reading challenges and those with vision problems related to computer use.)


Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 at 4:30-8:00 pm "You Can’t Make Me: Working with Children with Oppositional Defiant Disorders” presented by Bev Johns (Johns is an educational consultant, author of 23 books with over 33 years of experience working with students.)


Monday, February 11th, 2019 at 4:30-8:00 pm"The World of Possibilities with Universal Design of Learning: Making Accommodations for All Abilities”presented by Jan Williams (Williams is a doctoral student, a former special and general educator, and president of the CEC Ch. 99.)


Tuesday, March 12th, 2019at 4:30-8:00 pm"Disconnect the Buttons that Students and Other Staff Sometimes Push”

presented by Debra Helton (Helton will be discussing the science behind neurochemical reactions, teacher biases, personality characteristics, and non-verbal behaviorist.)

> Everyone (parents, students, friends, educators, and community members) is invited to attend Chapter 99’s meetings

> Participants at all meetings (except the banquet) will earn Professional Development Hours and/or a certificate.  You must bring your license number (IEIN number) for the required sign in. Certificates will be available for students and those who don't need PD credits.

> Registration is available online through PayPal by going to Ch. 99's website (www.cec99.org).

Reserve your place for ALL meetings and receive one free meeting by sending a check to the above address or by paying online through PayPal on the Ch. 99's website (www.cec99.org)

  • $60 for CEC members and paraprofessionals/parents/family members

  • $100 for non-members (which includes a basic CEC membership)

  • $25 for students.


> Register at least 5 days before each meeting to have your name entered into a drawing for a door prize.


> Scholarships are available for parents/family members/paraprofessionals. Contact any Chapter 99
   officer or email cecchapter99@gmail.com.


> Join CEC or renew membership at a Chapter 99 meeting and receive a $10 rebate.  (Students receive a $30 rebate).
